At St. Philip's, ministry happens through people—people like you who offer their time, talent, and treasure to build up the body of Christ. Whether you have an hour a month or several hours each week, there's a place for you to serve.

Worship & Music

Altar Guild

Prepare the altar for worship services, care for sacred vessels and linens.

Time:Various times
Skills:Attention to detail, reverence for sacred space

Lector (Reader)

Read scripture lessons during worship services.

Time:Sunday mornings
Skills:Clear speaking voice, comfortable reading aloud

Eucharistic Minister

Assist with communion, serve the chalice.

Time:Sunday mornings
Skills:Training provided

Acolyte

Serve at the altar during worship (all ages welcome).

Time:Sunday mornings
Skills:Reverence, willingness to learn

Usher/Greeter

Welcome worshipers, distribute bulletins, assist with offering.

Time:Sunday mornings
Skills:Friendly demeanor, hospitality

Chancel Choir

Sing anthems and lead congregational singing at 10:30 AM service.

Time:Thursday rehearsals, Sunday mornings
Skills:Love of music (no audition required)

Outreach & Service

Food Ministry

Help prepare and serve meals, stock food pantry.

Time:Various schedules
Skills:Basic cooking, compassion

Community Partnerships

Support local organizations serving those in need.

Pastoral Care Visits

Visit homebound members, hospital calls.

Hospitality & Fellowship

Coffee Hour Host

Provide refreshments and hospitality after 10:30 AM service.

Event Planning

Help organize parish events, receptions, and gatherings.

Kitchen Crew

Assist with setup, serving, and cleanup for parish meals.

Sunday School Teacher

Teach children about faith and scripture.

Youth Ministry Helper

Support youth programs and activities.

Vacation Bible School

Lead or assist with summer VBS program.

Help maintain our beautiful church campus and gardens.

Building Care

Office Volunteer

Support annual pledge campaign and year-round stewardship efforts.
